Privacy
TreadRelay is a listings board. It collects as little as it can, sells nothing to anyone, and will delete what it holds about you on request.
What is collected, and why

What is never done
- Nothing is sold, rented or shared for marketing.
- There are no advertising trackers, no analytics scripts and no third-party cookies.
- No profile is built about you. There are no accounts.
- You are never emailed because we felt like it — only because you asked.
Why we are allowed to hold it
For listings and alerts, because you asked us to — consent, which you can withdraw at any time. For the scrambled IP addresses, because a site that anyone can post to without an account needs some defence against abuse, and a one-way hash is the least identifying thing that works.
Who else can see it
Three suppliers process data on our behalf, and none of them use it for anything else: Vercel runs the website, Supabase stores the listings and photos, and Resend delivers email. Town names are resolved using OpenStreetMap, which receives the place name and nothing about you.
Anything you put in a listing is public on purpose, including your contact details. Contact details are only shown after a visitor taps to reveal them, which stops most automated harvesting, but a listing is a public advertisement — do not put anything in it you would not put on a noticeboard.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for it corrected, or ask for it deleted. If you are in the UK or EU you also have the right to object, to restrict processing, and to complain to your data protection authority.
Most of it you can do yourself: the manage link on your listing edits or removes it, and every alert email has a one-click unsubscribe. For anything else, email listings@treadrelay.com and it will be dealt with within 30 days.
If you lose your manage link we cannot recover it — only a scrambled copy is stored, deliberately. Email us and the listing will be removed once we can reasonably tell it is yours.
Where it is stored
Listings are held in Canada. Email is delivered through servers in the United States. If you are in the UK or EU, that means your data leaves your region.
Children
This site is not intended for anyone under 16.
Changes
If this changes materially, the new version will say so at the top. Last updated 17 August 2026.
