Terms of use

TreadRelay lists tires. It does not sell them, hold your money, ship anything, inspect anything, or take sides when something goes wrong.

What this is

A noticeboard. Sellers post what they have, buyers search it, and the two deal with each other directly. Every transaction is between a buyer and a seller — we are not a party to it, take no commission, and hold no funds.

What we do not do

• We do not verify anything. Not the condition, not the tread depth, not the age, not the DOT code, not whether the tire exists, and not who the seller is.
• We do not handle payment and will never ask you for card or bank details. Anyone claiming otherwise on this site is not us.
• We do not ship and have no delivery arrangements with anyone.
• We do not mediate disputes. If a deal goes wrong, that is between you and the other party.

Buying safely

Meet somewhere public. Inspect the tire before paying. Check the DOT date — rubber ages out in roughly six to ten years regardless of tread. Check the load index is equal to or higher than your vehicle needs; the site flags when a listing falls short of the size you searched, but only when you tell it what you need. Never mix sizes across an axle.

Fitment information on this site, including the ±3% alternate matching, is a starting point and not professional advice. Your vehicle handbook and a qualified fitter are the authorities. Tires are a safety component.

Posting a listing

By posting, you confirm that:

• The items are yours to sell and legal to sell where you are.
• What you have written is accurate, including the size, condition and tread depth.
• The contact details work and are yours.
• You accept that your listing, including those contact details, is public.

Do not post anything that is not tires or wheels, anything stolen, anything fraudulent, or anything designed to advertise something else. We may remove any listing, at any time, without explanation — the usual reason will be that it is spam.

Reporting a listing

Every listing has a report link. Use it for anything fraudulent, dangerous or plainly not a tire, and it will be looked at.

Your listing is yours

You keep ownership of what you post. You give us permission to display it on the site and in search engines for as long as it is live. Remove the listing and that permission ends.

Availability

This is a free service run at small scale. It may be slow, broken or unavailable, and no uptime is promised. Listings may be lost. Keep your own record of anything that matters.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, TreadRelay is not liable for loss arising from use of the site, from anything in a listing, or from any dealing between a buyer and a seller. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, where the law does not permit that limit.

If you are a consumer, this does not affect your statutory rights against the person you actually bought from.
